Folded postcard with a panoramic view of the Saranac Inn in Upper Saranac Lake, NY, published by Seneca Ray Stoddard (using one of his images from 1903). Handwritten in ink below image: "Aug. 14. 1900. Mother + I took this drive Wednesday afternoon -- 30 miles from 2. to 6.30 P.M and rested / a half hour. Fine drive through the woods. Wish you + Me M. Could have a mouth of it up here / S. A. Louis." Addressed to Mrs. L. C. Main and postdated Aug. 15, 1908. |
