Notes |
Cataloguer used Richard MacNeish and Gary Warwick's classification systems and typology to describe the pot's shape and decorative finishes. These were developed to be applied to archaeological finds, but the cataloguer believes they can also be used to modern pots to study the ways historic and ancient pots relate to new pots, stylistically. See accession folder for more information. Perkins frequently pit-fires his pots. It is unclear whether that is how he fired this pot. Photographed by Richard Walker, March 2025. |
