Description |
"IDEAL" cast-iron hand crank portable sewing machine. "Ideal" is not the brandname. The sewing machine was possibly made by the New Home Sewing Machine Co. This machine was gifted to Catherine Petty, who used it to make clothes for her family, including three sons William E. Petty Jr., Clarence A. Petty, and Archibald C. Petty. The original instructions for threading the needle were included in the donation. |
