Description |
Small Abenaki-made strawberry-shaped fancy basket. Fancy basket woven of red dyed ash splint and small amounts of sweetgrass and fitted lide woven of sweetgrass and green dyed ash spint. The green splint in the lid is cut and shaped like leaves. The lid fits inside of the basket well. The lid has a handle/loop made of sweetgrass and wrapped in green splint. Possibly used to store sewing implements, but uncertain. |
