Small Abenaki-made basket pincushion. Woven of sweetgrass and black ash splint with a pincushion stitched inside. Cushion is covered with a blue velvet fabric with eight grooves shaping it like a pumpkin. |
Notes |
Regarding images of basket: Color rendition appears strangely, with the gray background adapting a very pink tone. However, the blue color of the fabric shows fairly true to color. |
