Mounted albumen print. Handwritten in margin at bottom: "Bartlett's. Saranac S.R. Stoddard". Bartlett's was a hotel located on a strip of land between a deep bay on Upper Saranac Lake to Round (Middle Saranac) Lake which made a short and easy portage. It soon became called "Bartlett's Carry." |
