Postcard, Real Photo, rustic car, made of wood, positioned under a rustic sign that reads: "GRAND TRAVERSE AUTO CO". Handwritten lower margin of image on the negative: "O-AT-KA BEACH, TRAVERSE CITY, MICH." Letter from donor indicated this is possibly a "facetious title for a fictitious company." Letter also states "Oval Wood Dish Corporation, a major presence and mainstay of Tupper Lake, NY had relocated to the Adirondacks from Traverse City, Michigan, soon after the purchase of New York land in 1914." |
