Description |
Photograph collection, first of two albums of gelatin silver prints. Several duplicate images. P070607 - P071005. Album is composed of alligator-patterned leather covers bound with string. Front cover has "Photographs" embossed in gold and a slip of paper taped on that reads: "1931-38- Cranberry, Indian, Bermuda, Algonquin". The photos are pasted onto black album paper, multiple to a page. Images were taken at the family farm, Spring Hill Farm, in Seneca, NY (Ontario County), various camping trips to the Adirondacks and Canada as well as trips to Bermuda and New York City and other locations. Adirondack locations include: Cranberry Lake, Low's Lake, Indian Lake and the Jessup River, Snowy Mountain, Tahawus, Heart Lake and McIntyre Mt., Keene Valley and Lake Placid, Wanakena and Mount Marcy. The farm was in the Webster family from 1795 to 2000. The images provided start one at a time. Scans of full pages, as if you were to flip through the album, start at image number 407. |
