Joined the army during World War I and became the first Medical Artist of the United States Army, sketching at the bedside of patients with contagious diseases. In the 1920's he and his brother climbed 44 of the high peaks in the Adirondacks. In 1922, they paddled a canoe down the Hudson from the Adirondacks to NYC which took 15 days. He died of Parkinson's Disease. |
