Walter Knapp (1906 - 1999) learned drafting by correspondence course and worked for the Ansco Camera Company and then Link Aviation in Binghamton, NY. His wife Marion (1906 - 1995) worked for the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company. Avid outdoorspeople, the Knapps frequently vacationed in the Adirondack Park. Walter served as a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He and Marion wrote and Walter illustrated this cookbook, which combines camp recipes with practical woodsman advice learned from their Adirondack adventures. They may have intended this for use by their Boy Scouts. |
