Used By Tait to make picture frames
Description Molding plane, owned and used by A. F. Tait to make his own picture frames. Stored in MSB09E03 with other Tait equipment.
Notes Note in accession folder: When I was at the Kennedy Galleries this morning Mr. Wunderlich said that he would be very glad to donate to the museum a mould [sic] plane which was used by A. F. Tait to make his own picture frames. It is inscribed with A. F. Tait's signature, I believe by himself in the handwriting which he used to sign his pictures. Wunderlich said he got it from his father-in-law, Courtney Brandreth. I told him that I knew that you would be most grateful for the offer and would hear from you shortly.
