"Pine Knot" small box stove. Shelf on front of body with vent hole. Detachable cover over vent with draft wheel. Hinged door on front of body. Prior marks on door: "Pine Knot/Pat'd 1868". Ornamentation on front, sides and back. Hinged cover on top with burner and lid. Prior marks on top: "J.L. Mott Iron Works/New York/18". Stove pipe hole on top, in back. Four detachable legs, which are not original to the stove (don't match the back corners).

Camp Pine Knot was built 1876-78 and 1879-82. The Swiss Cottage was built in 1882.
J. L. Mott Iron Works factory at Mott Haven, the Bronx beginning in 1841. They manufactured until around WW II.
