Description "Pine Knot" small box stove. Shelf on front of body with vent hole. Detachable cover over vent with draft wheel. Hinged door on front of body. Prior marks on door: "Pine Knot/Pat'd 1868". Ornamentation on front, sides and back. Hinged cover on top with burner and lid. Prior marks on top: "J.L. Mott Iron Works/New York/18". Stove pipe hole on top, in back. Four detachable legs, which are not original to the stove (don't match the back corners).

Notes Camp Pine Knot was built 1876-78 and 1879-82. The Swiss Cottage was built in 1882.

J. L. Mott Iron Works factory at Mott Haven, the Bronx beginning in 1841. They manufactured until around WW II.
