Description 15 gallon Farmer's Boiler or kettle stove which can be used to burn either wood or coal. According to old catalog card, it was used to boil down maple syrup or to make soap. Base of stove is shaped like a box stove. On front is two hinged doors, one above the other. On top door is raised "15 GL" Below doors is an apron with an ash pit and detatchable cover to ash pit. Four legs with claw feet. Above base, the stove is a large round shape with notches on either side for the kettle to fit inside. Oval shaped flue opening in back. Prior marks: On front "Co-op Foundry Co./Rochester, N.Y." On each side: "15 gl./ for wood or coal."
