Description Inshave, or Drawknife, a cooper's tool for carving the concave surface of the inner part of the barrel stave. Tool appears to be unused and still has seller's tag. Tool consists of a curved metal blade with reverse curve on either end, and turned wooden handles. Manufacturer's stamp on top surface of blade, at center, "CONGER NY". Seller's tag on artifact "From Braley & Noxon, Hardware, Iron Steel, Farming Implements [etc.] North Creek, NY". Probably came from the inventory at the hardware store.
