Description Wooden side chair, made from oak. Back with relief carving at top and bottom, turned spindles between. Composite seat board tacked over original caned seat, caning still intact but damaged. Seat was painted black, paint only remaining at very back, and around tacks. Three turned footrails, plain rungs at sides and back. Stiles are plain, front legs turned. Round mortise and tenon construction. Dark oil varnish.
