Square-sterned, broad-transomed boats like this one were commonly used in Adirondack river drives. Similar craft were known as "North River Boats" in the West Canada Lakes country; the Hudson was known sometimes as the North River. Like 57.120.1, it was used by the Glens Falls firm Finch, Pruyn on the Hudson and has a great degree of rocker.
