Description a: Wood and metal barber chair with green velvet uphoulstery. Adjustable headrest with cushion(.c) Wood and cloth back. Wood and metal armrests with cushions. Molded wood seat with cloth cushion. Ink spilled on seat. Label nailed on back of seat reads:"Manufactured by/Archer Manufacturing Co., /Patented,/Rochester, N.Y., U.S.A.". Metal height adjustment bar on one side. Metal supports from arms to upholstered wood panel on front with hooks for attaching foot rest. Molded base with four legs extending diagonally from center post. Base painted gray over varnish but paint mostly stripped off. b: Foot rest with pivoting upholstered cushion on front. "Archer" incorporated into grill work of foot platform. Other prior marks: "Patented Sept' 8 1891". c: Head rest. Used at donor's barber shop, 234 James St., Utica.
