Description Jack plane used for planing off the most amount of wood in the least amount of time i.e. for the rough work. Shaped wooden handle. Wedge. Cutter missing. Diamond shaped piece of wood set into the top, front portion of the body. Wooden body. Rectangular with beveled top edges and corners. Prior marks on front of body: "Hammacher Schlemmer & Co. 209 Bowery, N.Y."
