Description Diving Mitten. Made of canvas with extension for thumb. Lining is rubberized.
Notes The diving equipment was used in the Raquette Lake area around the turn of the century. Several times the Marion River train fell off the track into the lake and a diver had help salvage the train. Also, the diver would work on the propellers of the big boats. The donor, Dennis Dillon said that the diving equipment was not used after the early 1920's.
