Description Jointer plane. Used to make the finishing touches on the long straight edges of the wood pieces preparatory to joining them. Shaped handle. Two piece adjustable cutter and wedge. A rectangular groove has been cut into the back of the wedge to accommodate the adjustment screw on the cutter, indicating the the cutter is probably not original to to the plane. Rectangular body. Rounded back, top edge. Body, handle and wedge finished. Maker's marks on cutter: "Wights & Foste Warranted".
