|Object Name||Bucket, Sap|
Four sap buckets made of tinned steel. Single seam, bucket widens slightly at the top. Just below the rim of each bucket is a single hole where it was tacked to a tree. "G.H Grimm, Rutland, VT" at bottom. See "Notes".
|Notes||See G. H. Grimm catalog c. 1910-1912, p. 16 for "The Grimm Sap Bucket". Approx. the top two inches of the bucket is slightly wider than the rest of the bucket (creating a lip) which allows the buckets to "nest without sticking together" when stacked. Similar to 1965.040.0004.|
