Built for recreational paddling, this canoe has strip-planked decks supported by scalloped deck beams. It has never had a carrying yoke. It has a conservative shape, with neither the high stems of the museum's Nickerson canoe (67.209) or the tubby shape of the Hanmer canoe (71.194).
