Description Wicker basket and cover made of woven reed. The basket has a handle on either side. Used to hold diver's suit.

Diving equipment was used in the Raquette Lake area around the turn of the century. Divers used the equipment when a train fell off the tracks and into the lake, or to fix propellers on the big boats. Equipment was not used after the 1920's. See accession folder for detailed document.
