Description Plumb carpenter's adz. Used for removing heavy waste, leveling, shaping or trimming the surfaces of timber. Iron head and blade. Flat, curving blade widens out to where sides become straight. Straight, beveled blade edge. Maker's marks in underside of blade: "Plumb U.S.A.". Tapering head. Eight sided, tapering pin extends from poll edge . Varnished, square at top and oval shaped at bottom, curved wooden handle.
