Description Barley fork with four wooden tines attached to a 62-inch varnished wooden handle. Curved tines set into metal crosspiece attached to handle. Curved wire attached to top of crosspiece may have aided in "scooping" action, holding grain on fork. Raised lettering on crosspiece: "PAT. JULY 18 1868" and on metal at joint with handle: "MAY 14 1867." Patent No. 64,798. Tines are probably replacements.
