Description Side Chair or dining room chair. Joined with round mortise and tenon joints. Finished with oil varnish. Turned front legs. Pair of turned stretchers in the front. Pair of round stretchers on each side. Single stretcher in back. Flat stiles with rounded tops in back. Square seat frame with a synthetic black replacement seat added by a later owner. Seat is attached with brass tacks around the edges and has a floral design embossed in the center. Label underneath the seat reads: "Diamond State Fibre Co. Bridgeport, Pennsylvania". Holes along the edge of the seat frame for a previous, possibly wicker, seat are visible underneath. Two slats in the chairback with three turned spindles in between them.
