Photograph album (2008.32.31-2008.32.356); made by Eastman Kodak Company; belonged to Ann Zeiger; contains a wide variety of black and white, gelatin silver print photographs that depict scenes in Saranac Lake, NY and Lake Placid, NY, and relating to Deerwood Music Camp which was located close to Saranac Lake, NY, the Saranac Inn in Saranac Lake, NY, and the 1947 Dartmouth Winter Carnival; maroon cover with a dark maroon and red string with tassels on the end of it tied through the spine; printed in blue ink on the inside of the front cover: "ANN ZEIGER/ 3121 RIDGEWOOD AVE./ CINCINNATI 13, Ohio"; six photographs were removed from the end of the album by the donor before the museum received it; stamped into the inside of the back cover in silver: "CAVALCADE E-5/ MADE IN U.S.A./ EASTMAN KODAK CO/ EKC (in an oval)/ FOR EXTRA LEAVES/ ORDER SIZE KG"
This is part of a group of objects relating to the Adirondack Park that were owned and used by either the donor, Jean Zeiger Cunningham, or her sister Ann Zeiger. The two sisters grew up in Cincinnati, OH and spent their summers at Deerwood Music Camp which was located close to Saranac Lake, NY. When they were older, the sisters waitressed at The Saranac Inn in Saranac Lake, NY. This photo album belonged to Ann Zeiger.
